Today is a marvellous day, as I get to tell the world, yes all of you lot(!), that we have signed a new contract with the marvellous Heidi Swain. Our Sunday Times bestselling author (blows trumpet) has agreed to write us two fabulous new books, and you can get the first one later this year. To introduce them both, we’ve brought along a special guest, the woman herself!

Over to you Heidi:

I am absolutely delighted to have signed a new contract with Simon & Schuster and the Books and the City team to write two further titles. So many wonderful readers have been contacting me this year asking to hear more from both Wynbridge and Nightingale Square and it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to write more books featuring both.

I’m particularly excited to be heading back to Wynthorpe Hall on the 1st of November, just in time for Christmas. This magical setting and the wonderful Connelly family certainly found their way into the hearts of my readers and Snowflakes and Cinnamon Swirls at the Winter Wonderland promises another festive filled story, this time focusing on Hayley, the sparky housekeeper and a mysterious new arrival.

The second book will take us back to Nightingale Square next summer to meet two new residents who don’t have the easiest of times when it comes to forming a friendship. There’s also the opportunity to catch up with what’s happening in the beautiful community garden as well as with the rest of the neighbours.

I hope you enjoy reading the new books every bit as much as I am enjoying writing them!

I’ve just finished re-reading Snowflakes and I know you are all going to love it. Yes, my seasons are confused but what do you expect when you’ve been talking Christmas trees and sleigh rides in the middle of the Summer…

For my last trick, and so you can all understand why I love being the wrong way round, I present to you… our winter wonderland:
