The Minute I Saw You… EXCITING NEWS by Paige Toon
As I was writing The Minute I Saw You, I knew that Hannah and Sonny were going to be right up there with my favourite ever characters – I couldn’t wait to share their story with you all. From the lovely messages I’ve been receiving, I know lots of you are excited to read it.
You’ve been able to rely on my latest book hitting bookshop and supermarket shelves every May for the last ten years, but this year, as we know, is different. Due to Covid-19 and the various complications it presents, we’ve had to move the paperback and audiobook release date back to 6 August. However, we have made the decision to keep the eBook release as 14 May so anyone who is keen to get stuck in, can.
(Remember, even if you don’t have an eReader, you can download eBooks onto any device using various free apps available: Kindle/Kobo/Apple etc.)
To try to turn this news into a positive, those who read the eBook within its first two weeks of publication will have the chance to take part in a reader Q&A to be published in the paperback. All you have to do is email your questions about the book to me at email@example.com with the subject: ‘Q&A’ before end of 27 May and I’ll answer a whole bunch – so you might see your name in print in the paperback…
And it will be worth the wait, I promise: that sunny yellow and those sparkling blue damselflies are going to look so pretty – I can’t wait to hold finished copies in my hands!
Also, to make the paperback even more special, we’ll be printing a bonus short story that ties into The Minute I Saw You, featuring Hannah and Sonny’s friends, Archie and Matilda. Both the short story and the book are set in summery Cambridge and Grantchester – think canoeing on the River Cam, warm evenings in pub gardens and cream teas under apple trees.
I’ll be celebrating publication day of #TheMinuteISawYou on 14 May with my two funniest author buddies: 1pm Facebook.com/PaigeToonAuthor with Lucy Vine & 6pm Instagram.com/PaigeToonAuthor with @LindseyKelk – ask us a question for chance to win signed books!
I hope this book helps you to escape from whatever worries you might be experiencing right now and gives you hope for happier times to come. And they will. So hang tight and keep well, oh, and remember to tune in to Facebook at 1pm and Instagram Live at 6pm on 14 May – let’s have a drink together to celebrate eBook publication!
I will no doubt do another Facebook Live session soon too, so keep an eye out for news of that and other stuff in my next email from #TheHiddenPaige – sign up at paigetoon.com if you haven’t already!
Lots of love, Paige x
