To give you a sneak peek into just how amazing the ‘Glitterati’ event will be, we’ve asked our fantastic authors, who will be joining us, a few questions about cocktails, books and make-up essential.

Here’s the brilliant Paige Toon…

1. Where is your perfect weekend getaway?
Ever since I moved out of London to Cambridgeshire after seventeen years there, I would say it’s London. I love living in the country near beautiful Cambridge, but I’ll always adore the buzz of London. It’s the greatest city in the world. Right, now you’re making me want to book a hotel mini break…

2. What is your cocktail of choice?
Bellini – always Bellini. Or anything Prosecco based. I like a bit of fizz. Failing that, anything with vodka in it. A ‘Sea Breeze’ is my favourite and has featured in more than one of my books!

3. Who/what was your inspiration for the heroine in your latest novel?
Bronte from Thirteen Weddings is a wedding photographer who falls in love with one of her grooms. I came up with the idea after attending four weddings in one summer, imagining what it would be like to be a wedding photographer – sort of invisible, yet also a very important part of the best day of two complete strangers’ lives. Coincidentally, the person who won a charity bid to have a character named after her in my next novel turned out to be a wedding photographer. She inspired a lot of the weddings.

4. So excited to hear that Benefit Cosmetics will be joining you at the Glitterati event! What is your favourite product of theirs?
My favourite Benefit product is High Beam. I’ve used it for years – it’s so pretty and it looks great with a summer glow.

5. How will you be spending the last summer bank holiday?
We’re away a lot this summer – Europe and America – so the last bank holiday of August will be spent at home, having some precious family time before my daughter begins school at the beginning of September. I can’t believe how fast the time has flown… The only benefit will be having double my usual writing hours – I can feel another book coming on already!
