Do you have a ‘day job’, and if so, can you tell us what you do? Yes, I am key stage 1 leader at a school. This means I have a class and teach full time but I am in charge of another 3 teachers.
How did your journey as a book blogger begin? It’s not a great story to be honest! I was diagnosed with Lymphoma and found myself with lots of time off. While I was receiving treatment I began reviewing books on my bookshelf and it grew from there.
Is there such a thing as a typical day in the life of a book blogger, and if so what does it look like? I have no idea! I spend most of my life juggling working full time, being a wife and a book blogger.
We’re obsessed with other peoples TBR piles, how high is yours? OMG – well I am currently moving house and didn’t realise I had so many books until I had to pack them all up! Normally I don’t reread any books as I have so many new ones to discover but I do have a bookshelf with my favourite authors on it.
What’s the best and worst part of being a book blogger? Best part is sharing a love of books, unexpected book post and of course the book blogger community! Worst part is not being able to read all the books at once! Sometimes having to wait weeks to read them due to work commitments.
On average, how many books do you read in a year? The last few years I have read over 100 and I would say that is probable my average.
Is there an author you’d sell a limb to meet? Paige Toon!
Your favourite book of 2017 and why? This is tough one as I read many genres and have read many from all of them. I don’t think I can choose just one!
What book do you most recommend to others? Hmm this is another tricky one to answer, I love a girly read, any Paige Toon’s, Lindsey Kelk’s or one of my new favourite authors – Katy Collins.
Who is your favourite Books and the City author and why? Paige Toon – I have loved her from her first book release, her books are so light hearted, they leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy and are such easy reads.

Thing you’d never leave home without? Mobile, purse and a book.
Favourite place to read? In the garden/beach anywhere where the sun is shining!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? I’m pretty happy living in England and I have been lucky enough to travel and experience many countries, however if I couldn’t live in England I would choose either Canada or Singapore.
What’s the secret to success? Happiness
What’s on your current reading pile? Too many to mention!
Staying in or Going out? Staying in (getting old now!)
What’s your Signature dish? I make a brilliant noodle dish
Beach break or city break? Ooh this is a tough one, we try to have at least one of each a year, however if I could only have one I guess it would have to be beach!
